Stefano Tartarotti is a talented illustrator from Milano, Italy. Since 18 years he works as a freelance illustrator for publishing (newspapers, magazines, book covers and children books) and for advertising or publishing agencies. Stefano made his first steps in computer graphics in such a way: he bought about ten years ago his first Mac and created his first digital drawings with Photoshop. He started his experiments with Bryce, Hexagon and then Cinema4d. For today his output is rich for various 3d models and the majority of them are 3D models of vehicles (ships, aircraft industrial vehicles), architecture, sci-fi spaceships and industrial. His interest to this industrial theme proceeds from his childhood when he spent exciting hours creating plastic models of aircrafts. His favorite tools for the present day that he uses in the process of 3D modeling are Photoshop, Painter and Cinema4D. What he likes most about digital art are the command-Z and the wide range of various techniques that can be applied in the work. His piece of advice for the beginning 3D artists is simple and clear: ”Start modeling the objects that you like, and that you know and you will certainly succeed!”.
