Cassette Tapes’ Inspiration by Erika Iris Simmons

Today it’s quite difficult to create something original and fresh, especially when it comes to art. But the young self-taught artist from Georgia Erika Iris Simmons has found her personal way to express all creativity and imagination in the art space. She is creating various portraits of famous singers, actors and musicians from cassette tapes, old film, reels and other recycled materials. In this post we prepared for you great showcase which presents the best artworks of Erika Iris Simmons from cassette tapes in a series called “Ghost in the Machine”. The artist gets her inspiration in the desire to explore a theme of recursion when you can hear the music just looking to the illustration without actually listening it. From one side her works are simple to understand, but from another side each of them has its own covert sense. Have a look at these portraits and be inspired of such wonderful works of the talented artist!
